EUCA Student Support Program 

The European Control Association (EUCA), through the Student Travel Support Program, enables promising students to attend the European Control Conference (ECC 2026) and present their papers. Support covers the conference registration and, in some cases, part of the subsistence. 

The total budget for ECC 2026 is €20,000. 

Eligibility Criteria 

To be eligible, applicants must: 

• Be an author or co-author of at least one paper accepted for presentation at ECC 2026 

• Present at least one of the accepted papers in person 

• Be a student (PhD, Master’s, or Bachelor’s) at a scientific institution 

Selection Criteria 

If the number of applicants exceeds the available budget, selection will be based on the following criteria (in decreasing order of importance): 

• Applicants who have not received support from this program in the past two years 

• Applicants presenting more than one paper at the conference 

• Applicants who are first authors of an accepted paper 

• Applicants with limited financial resources and insufficient alternative travel funding 

Additionally, the selection committee may limit support if multiple applicants from the same institution would otherwise receive funding. 

Final decisions will be made by a selection committee appointed by the conference organizers. 

Level of Support 

Registration will be paid directly by the organizers and further financial support will be delivered if the funding allows.

Application Procedure 

To apply, students must submit the following documents by a single email to  

ecc26@euca-ecc.org 

• Completed EUCA Student Support Application Form including the students Papercept PIN 

• Proof of student enrollment (scanned document) 

• Signed letter from an academic supervisor or co-author that supports the application, confirms the student’s contribution to the paper (including percentage), and describes the student’s financial need

Application deadline: March 29, 2026 

Notification and Registration 

Decision notifications will be sent on April 1, 2026. 

Important:
If you apply for student support, do NOT register for the conference until you receive the decision. Successful applicants will be able to register free of charge after notifications are sent.
